Bombshell was an army-drama made by Shed Productions, due to be aired on ITV in 2005. However, after months and months of transmission delays, it was safely assumed that the drama would never be seen on British television. It has however, aired in New Zealand (TV One) and Australia (Hallmark Channel) – and was released on DVD in the latter. The reason for it not being aired in the UK, according to rumour, was that it was compared to the successful-turned-failed Ross Kemp army drama Ultimate Force.
