Footballers Wives: Extra Time was the naughty spin-off from the hugely successful Footballers Wives.

Airing on ITV2, the first series followed on from Footballers Wives fourth series, and started with Bruno struggling to cope after accidentally killing Conrad Gates. The show followed the lives of characters connected to Earls Park, including Bruno’s ex-wife, Joly Salter and their children, Yasmin and Rees, Tanya Turner’s half sister, Anika Beevor, Oliver Ryan, Gary Ryan’s son, and Seb Webb, Roger Webb’s son, who also appeared in Footballers Wives.

The series ran for two series on ITV2, for a total of twenty-five episodes. However, the second series was originally comprised of eighteen thirty-minute episodes, however, for reasons unknown, ITV2 compacted the series into thirteen forty-five minute episodes.

ITV2 decided not to commission a third series, in the same year it axed Footballers Wives.
